Homeless Students Support

Students who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate night-time residence might qualify for services that support their education during times of transition. Battle Ground Public Schools implements the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, which provides students who are identified as homeless with certain support services to assist them with their educational success.

Family and Community Resource Center

On October 12, Battle Ground Public Schools will officially open its Family and Community Resource Center (FCRC) to help meet the needs of families faced with housing instability and similar economic challenges. Several years ago, the district produced a Family Resource Guide with contact information for agencies and organizations that provide assistance for families and students in need. The opening of the Family and Community Resource Center is a natural extension of the district’s partnerships with these resources. Visit the FCRC webpage here.
