May school meals
School lunch menus for the month are available online. Meals can be paid through InTouch Receipting.
Summer credit recovery options
High school credit recovery is available to current high schoolers, including high school seniors, who want to earn credit for a course they failed. Current eighth grade students may also recover credit for the Washington state history requirement. Learn more and register for credit recovery.
Due to budget challenges, BGPS will not offer courses for original credit this summer or summer school for kindergarten through eighth grade. Only credit recovery will be available.

If you are interested in being part of this year’s grad highlight feature, please fill out this form (requires logging in) and upload a photo of yourself. Class of 2026 graduations
Graduation ceremonies will be held in just a few months. Learn about the plans for each school.
Change for 2028: In recognition of the many ways that students achieve academic success, BPGS will expand recognitions at high school graduations starting with the class of 2028 (sophomores in 2026). Each high school will recognize the top 5% based on GPA but will not designate a valedictorian and salutatorian. Class rankings will continue to be available as needed. Learn more about this change.

BGPS budget cuts for the 2026-27 school year
Battle Ground Public Schools must make $20 million in cuts for the 2026-27 school year due to the loss of local levy funding, lack of adequate state funding and other factors. The district sought input from a variety of stakeholders as part of the planning process. Making these cuts will allow the district to present a balanced budget, which is required by law.
See how different work groups are affected by the cuts and how schools will be affected next year.

Boundary exceptions for 2026-27 school year
All families with in-district or out-of-district boundary exceptions (choice transfers) for the current school year need to reapply for the upcoming school year. More information about this process and forms are on the district website.
Out-of-district choice transfers allow students who live outside of the district to attend BGPS schools. Applications for out-of-district choice transfers in 2026-27 are now being accepted. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received.
Enrolling students for kindergarten
Any child who will be 5 years old prior to Sept. 1, 2026, is eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the fall. Enroll now to make sure your child can attend kindergarten orientation in the spring.
